A total of 13 companies from Guangzhou's Nansha district, including Dongfang (Guangzhou) Heavy Machinery, Intelligent Eyes Technology, and Cloudwalk Technology, have been included in the list of specialized, elaborate, characteristic, and emerging "little giant" enterprises, local media outlets reported on July 20.

Of note, the number of companies included in this list has increased by 6.5 times when compared to last year's list.

In recent years, Nansha has launched nine policies to support specialized, elaborative, characteristic, and emerging small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These policies cover areas such as incentives for attracting investment and rewards for growth and breakthroughs.

It is estimated that over 130 million yuan ($18 million) will be allocated to support these policies in 2023.

Additionally, Nansha has set up specialized agencies to provide professional consulting services for companies, including policy explanations, applications and promotions. These agencies have conducted personalized analysis and guidance for nearly 1,000 companies and have organized 15 events to explain the practical process of applications.

Through various channels, 58 companies have been recommended to apply for the specialized, elaborative, characteristic, and emerging "little giant" enterprises, with 13 of them making it onto the public announcement list.
