The 2023 National Intelligent Vehicle Development Forum commenced in Guangzhou's Nansha district on July 2.

The conference focused on popular research directions in intelligent vehicles, and covers topics such as networked intelligent vehicle technologies and applications, automotive chip technologies and intelligent driving safety. It aims to advance the transformation and upgrade of intelligent vehicle technologies.

Over 500 professionals from academic and industrial fields gathered at the conference to discuss cutting-edge trends in the intelligent vehicle sector. Of note, the conference has attracted over 102 million online viewers.

In recent years, Nansha has been making efforts to establish itself as a manufacturing hub, with GAC Toyota at the forefront of the development of new energy vehicles and internet-connected vehicles, thereby bolstering the district's automotive pillar industry.

Last year, Nansha's automobile production exceeded 1 million vehicles with an output value surpassing 200 billion yuan ($28 billion). The district also completed the construction of its major projects related to the industry chain, such as GAC Toyota's fifth production line.

Nansha is currently accelerating the development of three major industrial clusters in its northern, central, and southern regions. It is creating an industrial ecosystem that spans across new energy vehicle research, development, and manufacturing.
