An 18-class kindergarten along with its supporting facilities recently started construction at the tip of Lingshan Island of the starting area of Pearl Bay in Nansha district. This signifies a new step in the construction of the area's public support service facilities, local media outlets reported on June 6.

The kindergarten is expected to have 18 classes for preschool children and two classes designated for childcare. It is located on the east side of Miaonan Road and on the north side of the to-be-built Hengsan Road.

It will be designed as a concentrated building combination, and will have three floors above the ground and one underground. It will also build corridors to connect the main buildings.

Its supporting facilities will mainly include a park that will be located around the street corner as well as a public toilet.

The park will take the surrounding residents as the main service group, and create a natural, sustainable and convenient urban pocket park for children and residents to relax in. This will promote the idea that nature and people can coexist in harmony.
