Hengli Biomedical Industrial Park project makes progress

The Hengli Biomedical Industrial Park project of the Nansha Science and Innovation Center was fully capped on May 9, three months ahead of schedule.

The project is located in Nansha Biological Valley, with a total construction area of about 185,000 square meters. Construction on this project began on Feb 16, 2022 and both the first and second phases have now been capped.

Once completed, this project will be the first general science and technology park in Nansha district that focuses solely on biotechnology. It will boost the development of the district's biotechnology industry.

The focal points of this project are a GMP biomedical high-standard plant, a smart plant, and related supporting facilities. The park is expected to attract renowned enterprises involved in gene therapy medicine and cell therapy medicine.

The smooth progress of the project will also promote the introduction of high-quality industrial resources, technologies and talents into Nansha, contributing to the formation of an industrial highland.

Upon completion, the park will become an important part of the life sciences and technology fields in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
