The Nansha international branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, which was shaped like the "key to life", opened on March 29, aiming to become a first-class medical and scientific research center that integrates medicine, teaching, and research.
The hospital is located in the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which makes it possible to build a 30-minute medical treatment circle in the Greater Bay Area.
The hospital is able to reach its headquarters in Yuexiu district by helicopter in 13 minutes, and test samples can be sent to the testing center within 1 minute through an intelligent logistics system. Of note, it has also been equipped with surgical robots, which will make surgeries easier and faster.
Nansha plans to utilize the traffic networks between downtown Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macao, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Dongguan and Zhongshan, to provide high-quality medical and health resources for the residents of the Greater Bay Area.
