Innovation association to boost Nansha's metaverse development

The inaugural meeting of the Guangzhou Metaverse Innovation Industry Association was held in Nansha district on Feb 27.

The association is the second milestone in the development of Guangzhou's metaverse industry after the establishment of the Guangzhou Metaverse Innovation Alliance last year.

It marks the alliance's formal embodiment, and the starting-point of its professional and high-end operation. In turn, this will better promote the development of Guangzhou's and Nansha's metaverse industry.

At the event, the association elected a chairman, vice-chairman, supervisor, director and secretary. In addition, Nansha's metaverse science and technology product creativity and design competition was announced at the event.

The competition has set aside a total of 300,000 yuan ($43,464) for monetary awards. It also plans to attract no less than 1,000 entries worldwide in black technology projects and innovative metaverse designs, with over 500 creative sci-tech deisgn works.
