Energy station in Nansha Pearl Starting Area topped off

The main structure of the No 3 energy station in Nansha Pearl Starting Area was fully topped off on Jan 16. The energy station construction team plans to carry out the installation of equipment and pipes in the next stage.

The energy station is located in the municipal green land on the west side of Shazui East Road, at the tip of Lingshan Island. It has elevated bridges on its left side and Guangzhou's main functional area on its right side.

The energy station is expected to supply energy to projects such as the Lingshan Island underground space project and the Nansha International Trade Center project upon its completion.

With a land area of over 14,000 square meters, it is equipped with a 5,345.1-sq-m station building and a 1,200-sq-m cooling tower. The building adopts a semi-buried design, so its basement area is 4686.04 sqm with a floor height of 7 meters.

To date, the project's pile construction, earth excavation, base plate pouring and civil engineering have been completed.
