Nansha teenager wins ASICS Junior Tennis Tournament title

Nansha native Wang Fa recently won the U14 men's singles championship at the 2022 ASICS Junior Tennis Tournament Guangzhou, overcoming fierce competition to win the title.

Wang upset the tournament favorite 6-3 in the semi-finals and then lifted the trophy with a 6-2 victory in the final.

The 2022 ASICS Junior Tennis Tournament Guangzhou ended on Aug 28 at Nansha International Tennis Center.

This tournament was held according to the standards of professional tournaments. Nansha International Tennis Center has a 2,500-seat center court and seven outdoor courts. In addition, it is equipped with four high-standard stormproof courts, which can ensure that the tournament can be protected from typhoons and other harsh weather conditions.  

In recent years, Nansha district has vigorously promoted the development of tennis. Since the completion of Nansha International Tennis Center, tennis has been popularized in an all-around way through public welfare training, tennis events on campuses, and youth tennis training. To date, tennis has become more popular among youth in Nansha, gaining popularity across campuses in the district.

Nansha International Tennis Center has become a famous tennis center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The center covers a total area of 39,800 square meters and has 18 tennis courts, including 12 hard courts and six clay courts. It is the tennis center with the most clay courts and the most stormproof courts in the Greater Bay Area.
