Nansha hosts 1st Hurun China Metaverse Conference

The first Hurun China Metaverse Conference took place in Guangzhou's Nansha district on June 15, where the list of Chinese metaverse companies with the greatest potential in 2022 was also released for the first time.

Three Nansha enterprises, namely Clouldwalk, Guangdong Aofei Data Technology, and Pony.ai, were among the top 200 Chinese metaverse companies with the greatest potential, each boasting a market value of more than $1 billion. Enterprises like DeepMirror, SequoiaDB, and Cross Stars made the list of "future stars".

According to Hurun, Nansha has a good environment suitable for the metaverse industry and is expected to issue special policies in the future to provide a scientific research platform for the metaverse from the aspects of technological research and development, industrial agglomeration, application scenarios, as well as financial support, which will build Nansha into a hub for metaverse innovation and development.

In recent years, Nansha has been advancing its innovation-driven development strategy, focusing on building infrastructure for science and technology innovation platforms.

It has become the permanent site for the Greater Bay Area Science Forum. In addition, the first national new district system integrating innovation, industry, capital, and policy chains was launched in the district, in which over 20 billion yuan ($2.98 billion) will be invested in the next five years to support innovation and entrepreneurship of enterprises and talent.

Strategic emerging industries, such as high-end manufacturing, aerospace, marine science and technology, life sciences and health, as well as integrated circuits are developing vigorously in the district, with 744 high-tech enterprises having settled in Nansha.

Qingsheng Artificial Intelligence Value Innovation Park was recognized as one of the first five provincial-level AI industrial parks, which has gathered over 300 AI enterprises.
