Construction on the Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center (Nansha) project is scheduled to be completed in July.

The hospital is located on the south side of Shinan Avenue on Jiaomen Island, Huangge town, and the capping work of the main structure was completed in December 2020. At present, the installation of mechanical and electrical equipment is 90 percent complete, the exterior decoration is 98 percent complete, and the interior decoration is 80 percent complete.
The first to third floors of the outpatient building is equipped with LED display light strips, which surround the outpatient hall in an arc shape.

The entire project's appearance is full of marine elements. According to project manager Di Chunfeng, the LED screen will play animations of marine elements, such as fish, in the future, creating a warm and fashionable medical space for medical staff and patients.
Small lights in the hospital adorn the ceiling, appearing like stars in the night sky, adding to the hospital's warm ambiance. There are more than 4,600 small lamps installed on the first floor alone.

In addition, the lighting system on the exterior of the hospital will be designed to appear like the curve of waves to project ocean shapes, optimizing the visual experience of the entire space.
The project covers an area of about 54,536.5 square meters, with a total construction area of 155,923 sq m.
The hospital has nine floors above ground and two floors underground. It has an emergency outpatient building, an inpatient building, a scientific research building, and an underground parking lot. It will feature a total of 780 beds and 1,327 parking spaces.
Upon opening, it will be one of the few women and children's hospitals with a construction area of over 150,000 sq m in China.
