Hainan's first semi-submersible deep-sea smart aquaculture tourism platform Pusheng Ocean Ranch 1 was delivered in Nansha, local media outlets reported on April 3.

The platform is the first 80-meter semi-submersible aquaculture tourism platform built by Guangzhou Shipyard International. It has been classified by the China Classification Society (CCS), becoming the first marine pasture breeding equipment in South China to obtain the CCS classification certificate.

Spanning 86 meters in length, 30 meters in width, and 18 meters in height, of which 10 meters is underwater when it is working, the platform adopts a steel semi-submersible structure and a soft network to form an aquaculture space of about 30,000 cubic meters. Equipped with a smart fishery aquaculture system, it can realize modern fishery production functions like automatic bait casting, fish swarm monitoring, and water quality monitoring.

The platform is equipped with living facilities, including seawater desalination, sewage treatment, storage space, and leisure restaurants. It is powered by clean energy like photovoltaic energy, while also boasting excellent wind and wave resistance. It is a modern marine industry base integrating green and smart equipment, aquaculture and fishing areas, as well as sightseeing.

After delivery, the platform will serve Longqi Bay Ocean Ranch in Hainan province. Once it is put into operation, its annual output of high-quality marine fish can reach 600,000 kilograms.

With a total investment of 5 billion yuan ($790 million), the Longqi Bay Ocean Ranch project is expected to produce more than 20 million kg of offshore products a year. It will build functional areas like a breeding area, reef throwing area, and marine entertainment area.
