The CSAV Rio Nevado ship left Nansha automobile port in Guangzhou, carrying 3,507 SAIC-GM-Wuling automobiles to Mexico on Jan 10. This was the first batch of commercial vehicles exported by Nansha Area of China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone this year, while also setting a Nansha automobile port record high for single ship export volume.

In recent years, Nansha automobile port has opened six foreign trade automobile export routes, covering ports in the Middle East, Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, Central America, and North America.

Nansha automobile port has attracted more than 10 automobile brands, including Chevrolet and Changan, to gather in Nansha for exports covering the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Mexico, and many other countries. This has positively contributed to accelerating the construction of China's dual circulation pattern, in which domestic and overseas markets reinforce each other with the domestic market as the mainstay.

The opening of the Nansha Port Railway at the end of 2021 has greatly improved the international shipping competitiveness of Nansha Port.

The annual export volume of Nansha automobile port reached 25,000 vehicles in 2021, 12-times that of 2020 and setting the port’s best export performance ever.
