The capping-completion ceremony for the first phase of Guangzhou Wanglaoji Health Industry Nansha base was held at Hengli industrial park, Nansha district.

About 750 million yuan ($118) was invested in the first phase of the base, which covers a land area of 196 mu (13 hectares) and has a total planned construction area of 103,500 square meters.

Two Wanglaoji canning production lines, warehouses, online testing and other areas will be built. The two production lines will be fully automated and able to produce 36,000 cans per hour per line. By then, the total annual output is expected to reach 18 million cans worth about 1.3 billion yuan, which will satisfy the demand for canned ice tea in South China.

The base will include the Guangzhou Wanglaoji Health Industry Research, which will make it a leading ice tea research and development base in China, committed to the production and development of ice tea technology innovation and talent training.

The base will provide more than 200 jobs for Wanglaoji headquarter's factory, and will drive the development of surrounding industries and the service industry. The Guangzhou Wanglaoji Health Industry base will also serve as the Nansha industrial tourism demonstration site.
