Experts select 3 candidate design plans for Nansha's southernmost region

Three candidate design plans for the southernmost region in Nansha district, Guangzhou, which is part of the cooperative demonstration zone among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, were selected during an expert evaluation meeting at an international design competition on Oct 27.

The overall conceptual design area is about 71 square kilometers, which is south of Bachong, west of Longxue South Waterway and east of Hongqili Waterway, and the detailed design area is around 8 sq km.

The design competition lasted for more than two months and has attracted 29 groups from 64 global top design institutions. A total of six groups entered the final competition. 

The three candidates' design plans are expected to be displayed on the second floor of the Nansha planning exhibition hall.
