China's 1st AI police officer steps on stage in Nansha

China's first artificial intelligence (AI) police officer made its debut in Guangzhou's Nansha district during a press conference held on Oct 26.

The district released a set of five standards for an all-in-one online service and launched a WeChat mini-program, bringing more convenience to local people when handling affairs related to public security. 

The WeChat mini program now is able to provide five services including birth registration and household registration services.

Police can also use mobile police terminals to scan facial recognition approval anytime and anywhere. The process previously took one to two weeks now can be handled now within one to two days.

Nansha public security organs actively promote the "internet plus public security government affairs service," which contributes to building a world-class and globally competitive business environment in Nansha.
