Updated: 2021-09-02chinadaily.com.cn

The smart tax service hall in Guangzhou's Nansha district integrates various advanced technologies such as augmented reality and big data, and started operation on Aug 27.

Featuring non-inductive services, the hall is able to offer three major functions including consultations and self-handling taxation, allowing people to handle more than 90 percent of the taxation affairs around the clock.

It is equipped with smart equipment such as computers, tablet PCs and smart taxation machines with 28 places for taxation.

The faces of people who want to handle tax affairs will be photographed and recognized by cameras as soon as they enter the hall during their designated appointment timeframes. Then the information will be sent to the system and the system will automatically generate queue ticket numbers and send the numbers to people's WeChat accounts.

"With the help of these smart technologies, the staff members in the hall can know in advance what types of issues people need help with and offer relevant services and guidance for them, which makes the whole process more convenient and comfortable," said Li Ning, an official from the Nansha taxation bureau.
