Dawen village has been striving to become a "Famous Village in Guangzhou" since 2010. It has built a melon and fruit greenway of 1.5 kilometers, the Shabiliang greenway on the water and a leisure park for people to experience the fun of agriculture.

These achievements made Dawen the first village to score such titles as the "Famous Village in Guangdong" and the "Most Beautiful Countryside in Guangdong."
