Bridges on Hengli Island to get coordinated design

Officials from the administration bureau for the development and construction of Pearl Bay announced that the preliminary design for 28 landscape bridges in the Hengli Island area in Guangzhou's Nansha district has now been finished, local media outlets reported on Aug 13.

The No 14 bridge located on Hengli Middle Road, which is the first bridge to become erected, has already finished construction of its main structure.

Clustering a lot of rivers, Hengli Island area is now home to 28 planned landscape vehicular bridges and several foot bridges.

The administration bureau for the development and construction of Pearl Bay carried out systematic planning of its bridges to make sure that they can match the local urban landscape and improve the overall quality of urban life. 

More than 10 professional groups in areas spanning bridge design, architecture, landscaping, and water conservancy have been employed to design the project.
