Nansha's GDP rises 15 percent in first half of 2021

Guangzhou's Nansha district has maintained sound and fast development in the first half of 2021, according to statistics released by Nansha district's statistics bureau, local media outlets reported on July 27.

The growth rates rankings of Nansha's major economic indicators in Guangzhou have all seen increases compared with those in the first quarter of 2021. 

The regional GDP of Nansha in the first half of 2021 climbed 15 percent year-on-year to 94.59 billion yuan ($14.53 billion). The fixed-asset investment of the district during the same time period increased by 39.8 percent year on year while the general public budget revenue saw a year-on-year increase of 33.5 percent. 

In the first six months of 2021, the added value of the district's primary industry increased by 3.8 percent year-on-year to 2.48 billion yuan, the added value of its secondary industry grew by 15.1 percent to 38.75 billion, and the added value of the tertiary industry expanded by 15.6 percent to 53.36 billion yuan. 

The industrial output value of enterprises above the designated size went through a year-on-year increase of 21.8 percent in the first half of this year. 

An industrial enterprise above the designated size refers to one that has an annual operation revenue surpassing 20 million yuan.
