Guangzhou's Nansha district has been deepening cooperation with Hong Kong, Macao and other nearby areas and will strive to become a demonstration zone for cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, said Wang Jian, deputy director of Nansha bureau of development and reform.
The district will make efforts to increase its influence, enhance cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, promote financial opening-up and innovation, and push forward urban planning and management.
Nansha Port will be built into a modern comprehensive international gateway hub port, and the district will team up with Hong Kong and Macao to build a shipping trade center for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
A high-quality living circle will be established in the district featuring strong education, healthcare and talent cultivation in an effort to make Nansha a new gathering ground for high-caliber talent in the Greater Bay Area.
Wang pointed out that the district will further develop systems and mechanisms for regional cooperation and take a pioneering role in China's regional coordinated development.
