Nansha moves forward with COVID-19 vaccinations

A total of 248,000 people in Guangzhou's Nansha district have received the COVID-19 vaccine, and 332,000 doses of the vaccine had been administered in the district as of 12 pm on May 8.

The district set up special working groups to carry out the vaccination work in December 2020 for priority populations and other permanent residents.

The district has dispatched nearly 500 medical staff members to help with vaccinations in the district and set up 11 fixed vaccine sites with 67 vaccine counters. An additional 16 temporary vaccine sites with 128 vaccine counters have been available for group vaccination missions.

The daily vaccine capacity of the district is expected to reach 21,000.
