The public bonded distribution center for medicine in South China was put into operation in Jointek Logistic Park, Nansha district, on April 23.

The center will focus on developing a new import model for overseas medicine and medical instruments, and strive to become a one-stop distribution center.

Medicines that have entered overseas markets or have gained import and export approvals in Hong Kong and Macao are expected to enter the Chinese market through more convenient clearance channels.

The center has already attracted several pharmaceutical companies and cross-border e-commerce companies such as Yixintang Pharmaceutical.

The warehouse management system in the center will work with the local customs and drug administration to achieve intensive supervision and smart operations. The whole journey of the medicines, from their overseas origins to domestic customers, is traceable to ensure security.

Support for the construction of the center has been offered by the local customs office. Nansha Customs has launched an innovative supervision model for medicine to greatly simplify the clearance process for companies and contribute to the development of the biomedicine industry in South China.
