The commercial area of the Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port terminal was handed over to property management companies for further operation on April 1.

Several large-scale commercial companies have been lured to settle down in the terminal, turning it into an unique business complex in Guangzhou featuring marine elements.

The commercial section is designed to cover an overall area of around 33,000 square meters and occupy 1.6 kilometers of coastline. Areas for catering and experiences will be built both indoors and outdoors to provide relaxation spaces for people where they can have an excellent view of the sea.

Other facilities, such as an immersive interactive theater, themed restaurants, stages and exhibition halls for intangible cultural heritage, will also be contained in the complex.

Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port ranks among the top three in China within just one year of its opening, and the port is expected to be the largest of its kind in China after all four of its berths go into full operation. By that time, the number of passengers going through the port is set to exceed 10 million every year.

It is scheduled that the complex will be opened to the public in August.
