Pony AI is a high-tech enterprise specializing in automatic driving. It was established by Peng Jun, former chief architect of Baidu and Lou Tiancheng, chief architect of unmanned vehicles. The enterprise received the California Road Survey license in June 2017. Yao Qizhi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the only Chinese Turing Award winner, is the company's chief consultant. Pony AI is building unmanned driving R & D center and headquarters base in Nansha, actively introducing related enterprises to construct unmanned driving industry biosphere. It is expected to be built as the first demonstration zone of unmanned driving in China.
