Guangzhou metro line 22 has recently completed several key tests at Chentougang Depot. It is one of the city's fastest metro lines with a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour.
The 30.8-km rapid transit line starts from Panyu Square Station in the south and extends to Bai'etan Station in the north.
Since Oct 20, node tasks in the subway line project schedule have been completed, such as cold sliding tests, catenary energization, gauge detection, contact network power-on, as well as acceptance of divisional works.
To date, about 54 percent of the construction work for Line 22 has been completed. Among the metro line's eight stations, four have sealed their roofs, two are undergoing construction, and two have yet to be built.
