GAC Nio

GAC Nio was set up in April 2018 in Guangzhou's Nansha district, with a registered capital of 500 million yuan ($74.39 million), as a joint venture between GAC Group, GAC NE, Nio Capital, and Nio.

Nio is an electric carmaker founded in 2014 by Chinese internet entrepreneurs.

GAC Nio is mainly involved in the research and development, sales, and services of electric vehicles. It also carries out cooperation in the downstream and upstream of the industrial chain, spanning car-sharing services, the Internet of Vehicles, and autonomous driving.

The concept vehicle of GAC Nio's first product made its debut in May 2019.
