Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone passed its acceptance check on Sept 16 following an inspection of its infrastructure, regulatory facilities, and related supporting facilities.

The acceptance team, led by Guangzhou Customs, was made up of representatives from departments including the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Department of Finance of Guangdong Province, as well as the Department of Natural Resources of Guangdong Province.

A total of 10 preferential policies were able to be put into operation immediately after the zone received the State Council's approval, spanning bonded storage of finished automobiles, bonded maintenance services of home and abroad, as well as service outsourcing.

A person in charge of Guangzhou Customs noted that the Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone is a major test area for innovations in reform of cross-border trade facilitation in pilot free trade zones, as well as an important platform to push forward the development of an open economy.

It is also expected that the zone will make contributions to develop foreign trade, attract foreign investment, as well as promote industrial transformation and upgrading.
