China's largest indoor factory for phased and final ship assembly was put into operation in the Longxue branch of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC) Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited in Guangzhou's Nansha district on July 1.
The construction of the factory started on May 21, 2019. Being 50.05 meters in height, 435 meters in length, and 45 meters in width, the factory has been equipped with six travelling cranes.
The operation of the indoor factory is expected to greatly increase the production capacity of the Longxue branch, improve the shipbuilding environment, elevate the quality of products, and effectively deal with problems caused by rainy seasons.
