Nansha court tops China's specialized courts in judicial transparency

Nansha People's Court of the Guangdong Free Trade Zone was listed as the first among all specialized courts in China in 2019 in terms of the judicial transparency, according to a blue paper on China's development of the rule of law released on June 8.

The blue paper was jointly released by the Institute of Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Social Sciences Academic Press (China).

Specialized courts, such as internet courts, intellectual property courts, and financial courts, were listed among objects for evaluation of judicial transparency for the first time this year. 

The Nansha court has devoted great efforts in making innovations and improving judicial transparency. The court has handled 2,088 cases through online live streams and has put 4,006 judicative papers into effect in 2019.

The court has also built the first experience zone for lawsuits with the help of VR in Guangzhou, offering experiences for users with five different identities in six kinds of cases.

A mobile phone application independently developed by the court has also been put into operation to serve as a commercial multi-mediation platform.
