The Nansha commerce bureau has started to solicit opinions from the general public on the revised detailed implementation rules in supporting the development of commerce and trade on June 5.

Headquarters companies settling down in Nansha can receive a reward of up to 20 million yuan ($2.82 million) according to the scale of paid-up registered capital.

Companies will have to meet the requirements listed in the document before receiving the reward. For example, a wholesale trade company should have paid over 9 million yuan in taxes to Nansha last year and its operation revenue included in Nansha's statistical accounting should be over 500 million yuan last year for it to be eligible for rewards.

Companies eligible to enjoy the reward will receive a subsidy of 95 percent of their economic contributions to Nansha for five consecutive years, with part of the economic contribution deducted from talent rewards obtained by their senior managers.

Companies newly set up in Nansha can also receive rewards. For example, newly set up companies in retail, wholesale trade, or accommodation and catering can receive a one-time reward of up to 2 million yuan based on their annual operating revenue.

Those setting up platforms for products exhibition and trade will be able to receive a subsidy as long as the platform's annual transaction amount exceeds $1 billion.

Companies renting places in Nansha will receive a subsidy of 50 percent of the actual rent for three consecutive years at a maximum amount of 3 million yuan per company.
