The inauguration ceremony for an exhibition center for cruise culture held by CCCC Urban Investment Holding Company Limited (CCCCUI) took place on May 22 at the international cruise square in Guangzhou's Nansha district.
Pipa player Fang Jinlong and his son gave an on-site performance to celebrate the event, while the world famous Chinese pianist Lang Lang expressed his congratulations to the ceremony online.
Located on the third floor of the square, the exhibition center integrates elements from both marine culture and cruise culture, applying decorations representing elements, such as the sea, waves, sea gulls, and stars, inside.
Exhibits like photo albums on cruise culture development, professional research reports on the cruise industry, and delicate cruise models are available in the center, allowing visitors to get a closer look at cruise culture.
Fang Jiaxuan, deputy general manager of CCCCUI, said that attention should be paid to the promotion of cruise culture and that the company has devoted great efforts in the integration of marine tourism culture and the cruise industry in Nansha.
Hong Minqi, director of the Nansha culture, radio, TV, tourism and sports bureau, noted that the exhibition center is the first of its kind themed on cruise culture in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and that the establishment of the center will bolster the development of Nansha's cultural tourism industry.
Guangzhou has conducted a total of 320 exit and entry cruises, receiving 1.21 million tourists since January 2016, ranking third in cruise business scale for three consecutive years in China.
