The first batch of Nansha's supporting incentive funds for the implementation of intellectual property policies was released on May 20.

Since the operation of the policy on the promotion and protection of intellectual property rights (IPR) in Nansha began on May 1, the district has selected 30 projects from 30 companies to receive the awards, rewarding 11.1 million yuan ($1.56 million) in total.

It is expected that the award amount for the whole year will exceed 40 million yuan.

The Nansha branch of the Guangdong Intellectual Property Protection Center has won a subsidy of 300,000 yuan for being an operation organization for IP protection and assistance.

Nansha has attached great importance to the protection and the innovative development of IP, as well as the transformation of patent achievements.

The South China Technology Commercialization Center in Nansha has devoted efforts in establishing an online service platform for the trade of IPR, offering comprehensive services for local companies in areas like IP trade, operation, and investment.

At present, the platform has clustered more than 11,700 patent results, as well as nearly 20 IP service institutes.
