Talents and enterprises were rapidly assembled due to the district’s exceptional advantages in geographic location and policies. Emerging industries undertook the pillar roles of the local economy.

In the first half of 2019, Nansha topped the list of the GDP’s growth rate in all districts of Guangzhou city. A total of 156 Fortune Global 500 enterprises are now driving forces of local economic development.

The automobile industry became the district’s first advanced manufacturing industry with a production value of over one hundred billion yuan ($14.1 billion).

Intelligent new powers in connected vehicles at home and abroad including Evergrande, GAC-NIO, DENSO, Linlux Electronics Ltd and Assemchip Group contributed their shares one after another.

As a leading port area in Guangzhou, Nansha Port Area accomplished 8.04 million TEU container throughput, a growth of 6.5 percent year on year.
