The chosen site has superior traffic conditions thanks to two urban roads,Phoenix Road and the Pearl Bay Bridge (in construction) and nearby convenient waterway transport.
The first phase project is expected to be completed by April of 2020.
The science park will serve as both the city’s science and technology center and its high-end service center when it is completed.
It is anticipated to be a big impetus for a new science and education city which focuses on information life and marine science by agglomerating scientific infrastructures, sharing research resources, and gathering interdisciplinary talents.
The science park, located in Nansha’s terminal block, will contribute greatly to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao integrated development pilot zone.
Nansha district plans to forge a spatial structure of “one city, three urban areas”. The “one city” refers to the high-end service center of the Pearl Bay area.
The core area of the Pearl Bay, supported by the science park, will be built as a new town that integrates shipping services, technical research and development, business & finance, andconferences& exhibitions.
