An exhibition of financial services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) was established for the first time.

The nine newly established institutions and platforms such as a public welfare financial pilot zone, a Shenzhen Stock Exchange Guangzhou Service Base and a Digital Inclusive Financial Supervision and Test Zone were awarded licenses and became important boosters for financial development in the new era.

The Nansha Pavilion demonstrated the district’s advantages of location, policy, environment, innovation, financial services and achievements.

It also showed the opening pattern and innovation vitality of Nansha given the opportunities arising from construction of the GBA.

"The history and achievements of Nansha's financial development are presented in the form of numbers, forms, texts and videos at the fair, attracting more institutions with cooperation intentions. We hope the world will see the district’s financial development," said Cheng Mingqing, deputy director of the Financial Work Bureau of the Nansha Development Zone.

Guangzhou Nansha Financial Holdings Co Ltd and the Guangzhou Nansha District Financial Industry Association made their debut in the district’s exhibition area.

The company will provide State-owned capital to serve the financial industry and strengthen the government guidance fund to provide better financial support for the construction of Nansha projects, especially the key ones.

The association is a supplement to the management organization like a platform and a link. It realizes information sharing on the platform and connects industries with government agencies. It is also a platform to communicate needs and solves problems,” said Han Yingfeng, secretary general of the Nansha District Financial Industry Association.

Two forums focusing on industry connection and future opportunities of the GBA were held at the fair on June 22. They centered on the financing leasing industry and big health industry integration development.
