Wanqingsha Town

Nansha is in the southernmost part of Guangzhou, and Wanqingsha is in the southernmost part of Nansha.

It has 302 rivers and 128 villages built along them. It’s no surprise that water town qualities are the most distinctive feature of Wanqingsha.

It is also an oasis of the sea and an important port base for southern Guangzhou.

Wanqingsha is the port industry base and the logistics industry group base of Nansha. It is also the 16th provincial center town in Guangzhou.

People living here used to go fishing and farming in the past, and some still make their living on the sea.

Sunflower Garden

There is a romantic place in Wanqingsha, where there are flower fields and fragrant castle flowers with fragrance. It is called sunflower garden.

Nansha Wetland

Nansha wetland is a migrant bird paradise in the Pearl River Delta. Because of regular maintenance, the environment continues to improve. Five species of birds were discovered in 2018, bringing the total of species found to 180.

A globally endangered animal found in the Nansha wetland, the black-faced spoonbill, is growing in numbers year by year.

Nansha Water& Bird World Ecological Park

The Water&Bird World Ecological Park is a new-type theme park that integrates waterfowl breeding, popular science, and sightseeing.

It is divided into six small islands, including a rainforest island, a plant island, and a palm island. Each of them has its own special activities.The world of waterfowl is rich in ecological resources, with many types of animals and plants.

The 19th Chong Fisherman's Wharf

The 19th Chong Fisherman's Wharf is where fishermen fish and sell seafood.

It is about 1,700 meters long and 200 meters wide, and is one of the 396 key fishing ports in the country.

A Lingnan fresh fruit base and a standardized marine aquaculture demonstration base are the gathering places of ecological agriculture in Nansha.

Wanqingsha is best known for its lotus roots and is home to the annual Nansha Lotus Culture Festival.The Xinken lotus root has a centuries-old history in agriculture. It also has high value sea eels, known as the "soft gold in the water". 

Wanqingsha is a major transportation hub and the southern starting point of Metro Line 18, which connects Wanqingsha with Guangzhou East Railway Station.

Watching the fishing boats return in the melting sun, listening to the fishing songs, you will feel deep calm here. In the changing world, Wanqingsha is still a pure land.
