A senior seminar on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Competition Policy was held in Nansha, Guangzhou on March 19 and 20.
It was hosted by the Anti-Monopoly Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation.
The leaders of the two organizations, experts, scholars and enterprise representatives discussed how the competition policy of the Greater Bay Area would be properly implemented and explored the establishment of exchange and cooperation mechanisms at the seminar.
Wu Zhenguo, director general of the Anti-monopoly Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation, said that creating a fair competition environment is of great significance for the construction of a more dynamic economic zone, a high-quality living zone and an innovative cooperation mechanism in the Greater Bay Area.
The departments together will strive to build a market with sound rules and system, coordinated cooperation among the three places and enhanced market entity consciousness to promote the construction of the Greater Bay Area.
Focusing on the significance of the competition policy, the similarities and differences of the policies and anti-monopoly law enforcement, and on how to cooperate among the three regions, the experts and scholars analyzed the competition policy and proposed solutions and suggestions.
