China should accelerate the application of artificial intelligence-based technologies in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, said an industry insider Friday.
"With the rapid development of advanced technologies such as cloud computing, big data, AI, and 5G networks, more solutions have been available," said Liu Ruopeng, Kuang-chi Group chairman.
"These forefront technologies can be used to enable real-time dynamic coverage, more efficient and intelligent analysis, as well as low-cost transmission and storage in the economic area," he said.
Liu, a deputy to the 13th National People's Congress, made the remarks on the sidelines of the ongoing two sessions.
To promote the development of the Greater Bay Area, Liu proposed a motion to the annual session on the construction of next-generation AI networks in the area.
"The core technologies of AI networks include radar-tracking technology, photoelectric sensing-coverage technology, and high-performance modeling," said Liu, adding that they would help in promoting the network.
