APT Electronics Co Limited

APT Electronics Co Limited was founded in August 2006 in Nansha, Guangzhou with a registered capital of 397 million yuan ($627 million). The company is a joint venture possessing an area of 35,000 square meters consisting of manufacturing plants and a research and development base. 

It aims to accomplish an LED extension with an annual capacity of 1.5 billion, LED chips and module manufacture, and LED light production line, so as to establish an advanced large-scale LED industry chain.

APT Electronics is the undertaking unit of the State High-Tech Development Plan (the 863 program) and the twelfth five-year plan for LED industry development of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

It was awarded as the first joint laboratory of LED lighting components testing in Guangdong province. Meanwhile, it won several honors including the second prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Award in 2014, the 2014 Alighting Award, the 2014 Best LED Light Source Packaging Technology Innovation Award, the most innovative brand in LED industry in China, and the 2011 Hong Kong Awards for Industries: Scientific and Technological Achievement Award. 

Five series of LED products have been authorized as independent innovation brands of high and new technology of Guangdong Province. In the field of high technology, APT has become a successful model of cooperation among the enterprises, universities and research institutes located in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Taiwan. 

The Company will further consolidate the respective advantages of the industry, academia and researches in mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, realize successful cooperation on venture capital funds, listed companies and institutions of higher learning in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Taiwan and attract more enterprises in the industrial chains to gather in the Pearl River Delta. It will develop core technologies with independent intellectual property rights and build the company into a model enterprise of high-tech cooperation in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Taiwan, as well as the most competitive high-tech national enterprise in the LED industry. 

In the next three years, the company will expand its technical and management teams composed of international high-end personnel to further develop the world's leading technology and products in the field of semiconductor and optoelectronics.
