Instructions on Application for Visa for Internship by Foreign Students of Overseas Universities in the 9 Cities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

A. Application for S2-class visas ( for short-term personal matters) at the entry and exit port

Ⅰ. Eligible applicant

Foreign students of overseas universities invited by enterprises in the 9 Cities of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Greater Bay Area to carry out their internship.

Ⅱ. Documents required for application

(1) A completed "Visa Application Form for Foreigners";

(2) Valid foreign passport or other travel certificate of the applicant;

(3) A visa photo which is in conformity with the relevant requirements;

(4) Materials which prove the studentship of a foreign student of an overseas university;

(5) The invitation letter stating the arrangement of relevant activities after entry and the reasons for internship, as issued by the hosting enterprise;

(6) Any other supporting documents deemed necessary by the relevant public security authority. 

Ⅲ. Processing Time

Within the date of application.

Ⅳ.  Application accepting organ

Visa authorities at the entry and exit ports of Guangdong Province.

Ⅴ.  Remarks

(1) Applicant shall submit his or her visa application in person upon arrival at the entry and exit port.

(2) In case the applicant fails to carry the relevant application materials, the inviting enterprises shall complete the registration and filling procedures for port inviting enterprise in advance.

(3) Documents in a language other than Chinese shall be translated into Chinese, and the seal of the translation company shall be affixed on both the translated documents and the photocopy of the translation company's business license. 

B. Application for S2-class visas ( for short-term personal matters) after landing

Ⅰ. Eligible applicant

Foreign students of overseas universities invited by enterprises in the 9 Cities of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Greater Bay Area to carry out their internship.

Ⅱ. Documents required for application

(1) A completed "Visa Application Form for Foreigners";

(2) Valid foreign passport or other travel certificate of the applicant;

(3) A visa photo, which has met the requirement of the Entry/Exit Administration Department of Public Security of Guangdong Province, and a Receipt of China Visa Photograph for Foreigners in Guangdong Province;

(4) A valid "Registration Form of Temporary Residence for Visitors" in Guangzhou;

(5) Materials which prove the studentship of a foreign student of an overseas university;

(6) The invitation letter stating the arrangement of relevant activities after entry and the reasons for internship, as issued by the hosting enterprise;

(7) Any other supporting documents deemed necessary by the relevant public security authority. 

Ⅲ. Processing Time

7 working days.

Ⅳ.  Application accepting organ

(1) Exit and Entry Administration Bureau of Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau;

(2) Exit and Entry Administration Department at county/district level delegated by Exit and Entry Administration Bureau of Ministry of Public Security.

Ⅴ.  Remarks

(1) The certificate of registration, official seal and sample signature of statutory representative of the relevant enterprise shall be filed with the local exit and entry authority for record.

(2) For all application materials, the original shall be submitted for inspection together with their photocopies.

(3) Documents in a language other than Chinese shall be translated into Chinese, and the seal of the translation company shall be affixed on both the translated documents and the photocopy of the translation company's business license.
