Jiaomen red sweet potato

Originated in Jiaomen Villiage in Huangge Town, Jiaomen sweet potato is well-known for the red color of both its skin and flesh. The color is due to the particular geographic position, climate and soil characteristics of this village. Red sweet potato plantations date back hundreds of years, with the current plantation area being as many as 135 mu (9 hectares) and producing an annual yield of 125 tons. Provided with the characteristics of a relatively small and balanced potato body, high sugar, low starch and fiber, strong fragrance, and smooth and appealing taste, the aweet potato has been awarded the title of an Agricultural Product with Brand Name and High Quality as well as a pollution-free agricultural product of the City of Guangzhou.
