Nansha gears up for thrilling basketball clash featuring NBA star Jalen Green

NBA star Jalen Green is set to headline a high-profile basketball event at Nansha Gymnasium in Guangzhou on August 11 as part of his China tour organized by Xing Street Battle. The event marks a major milestone in Nansha's drive to build a "City of Sports" and boost international sports exchanges.

Green, one of the NBA's most electrifying young guards, will compete in his first-ever 100-point 1v1 duel against top Chinese streetball player Chen Zewen. The schedule also includes an exhibition game between a Nansha representative team and Jimeng 116 Club, alongside another streetball showdown between veteran Huang Yujun and newcomer Hou Mi.

Prior to the match day, Green will tour Nansha's cultural landmarks on August 9 to experience Lingnan traditions such as calligraphy and lion dances, connecting global basketball culture with local heritage.

Nansha has hosted NBA stars including Derrick Rose and Kawhi Leonard. It runs a mature grassroots basketball league that attracted over 3,400 players last year. The upcoming event will consolidate its reputation as a dynamic sports hub within the Greater Bay Area.
