An Artificial Intelligence Industry Technology Matchmaking Conference was held in Shenzhen's Bao'an district on July 29, marking the first joint event between Guangzhou's Nansha district and Bao'an since they signed a strategic cooperation agreement in June. More than 100 academicians, experts, entrepreneurs and investors gathered to foster integration of industry, academia, research, application and finance.

The event highlighted complementary strengths. Bao'an hosts over 7,400 national high-tech enterprises and a full AI industrial chain, while Nansha posted 11.5 percent GDP growth in the first half of 2026, with its AI industry scale surpassing 13 billion yuan, backed by strong sci-tech innovation and talent resources.
Participants visited the Global Robot Development and Selection Service Center. The area displays the entire AI industrial chain through physical exhibits and a dedicated information database, and provides full-cycle services from technical validation to mass production optimization. Leading scholars shared cutting-edge progress in generative AI and embodied intelligence, while eight frontier projects pitched their technologies to explore application scenarios and investment opportunities.
Multiple cooperation intentions were reached on site. The organizer said it will continue to follow up on the docking demands to facilitate project implementation, further deepen Guangzhou-Shenzhen dual-city coordination, and inject new impetus into high-quality AI industry development across the Greater Bay Area.
