Guangzhou's Nansha district launched a high-quality development promotion campaign titled "Come to Nansha, Create the Future" in Beijing on July 27. The event gathered over 100 representatives from central SOEs, Fortune Global 500 companies and China's top 500 enterprises, showcasing Nansha's strategic value as a core growth hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Backed by multiple national strategies including the Nansha Scheme, the district is experiencing strong economic growth. Nansha's GDP grew 11.5 percent in the first half of 2026, ranking first among all districts in Guangzhou. Located at the GBA's geographic center, Nansha Port handles over 22 million TEUs annually through 183 international routes connecting more than 310 ports worldwide.

Central SOEs have emerged as a core driving force for Nansha's development. By the end of 2025, 264 central SOE subsidiaries based in the district reported combined revenue exceeding $29.55 billion. A string of major projects in marine engineering, advanced manufacturing and new energy have set up operations there this year, consolidating its industrial foundation.

The district is committed to fostering a world-class business environment and unlocking broader cooperation prospects for global enterprises.
