Policy promotion event boosts enterprise confidence in Nansha

A policy promotion event was held in Nansha, Guangzhou, on July 15, bringing together multiple government departments and senior officials to present a comprehensive package of incentives covering manufacturing upgrades, R&D support and talent attraction. It marks a key step forward in the district's efforts to implement high-quality development goals.

Nansha has built a three-tier policy framework combining national, provincial and municipal incentives, including the "dual 15 percent" tax preference and over 30 special policies on industry, innovation and talent. To date, nearly 10 billion yuan ($1.47 billion) has been disbursed, with automatic implementation benefiting over 510 companies and 40,000 individuals. Tax cuts have saved firms $413.47 million, and qualified foreign professionals may receive up to $147.66 million in rewards.

The district also offers housing subsidies, rent-free apartments for graduates, and R&D grants of up to $147.66 million. The Nansha Science City community provides shared equipment worth over $73.83 million and a $4.43-billion fund system, focusing on AI, new energy and biomedicine. More than 248 foreign qualifications are recognized, while startups can tap into real-world application opportunities and receive subsidies for data services.

Looking ahead, Nansha will improve policy delivery through dedicated service teams and a digital "Policy Express" mini-program for smart matching and one-click applications. These efforts aim to create a top-tier business environment and drive Nansha's growth as a hub of openness and innovation.
