A high-standard natural turf football pitch at the Hengli International Financial Island Football Park is scheduled to open in mid-July, adding a premium sports venue for local enthusiasts.
As the park's largest field, the No. 6 pitch can be arranged into two full-size 11-a-side grounds. It uses durable "Lanyin No 3" turf widely adopted in national stadiums, and features 800-lux floodlights, complete supporting facilities and 2,000 spectator seats, ready to host major tournaments and youth training programs.
The park will eventually house seven standard 11-a-side pitches, with one artificial turf field already operational. The No 5 pitch has been turfed and is under maintenance, while work on the rest is progressing steadily. The whole project is slated for completion by late August and will open in phases from early October.

This expansion reflects the district's fast-growing sports scene. In June, the inaugural city football league concluded here with 14 teams participating, while a dragon boat festival on the Jiaomen River attracted over one million viewers online and offline, turning sports events into a driver of cultural consumption. Once fully operational, the park will serve as a key platform for professional competitions and a training base for young players across the Greater Bay Area.
