China's 2nd homegrown cruise ship to debut in Nansha in November

China's second domestically built large cruise ship, the Adora Flora City, will embark on its maiden voyage from Guangzhou's Nansha International Cruise Homeport on Nov 22, operator Adora Cruises announced at the national event for China Tourism Day on May 19. Ticket sales for the inaugural season opened on May 20.

The inaugural season, running from Nov 22, 2026 to Jan 2, 2027, offers six itineraries of varying lengths. The maiden voyage is a six-day, five-night journey to Hong Kong and Hue, Vietnam. Longer options include a nine-day "Nanyang Discovery" route, a three-night Hong Kong New Year's Eve cruise, and a landmark 17-day Maritime Silk Road voyage covering Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Spanning 341 meters with a gross tonnage of 141,900, the vessel features 2,130 luxury cabins and suites, accommodating up to 5,232 guests. As the sister ship of China's first homegrown cruise liner Adora Magic City, it boasts upgraded spatial design, smart technology and enjoyable onboard experiences.

Nansha International Cruise Homeport received 18 cruise calls and over 57,000 passengers in the first quarter of 2026, ranking second nationwide for two consecutive years. Adora Cruises, China's first domestic large cruise independent brand, said it will use Guangzhou as its main hub to strengthen the South China cruise cluster and boost the Greater Bay Area's cruise economy.
