Guangzhou secured a commanding 96-48 victory over Zhaoqing in the 2026 Guangdong Provincial City Basketball League on April 18, with Nansha-born player Feng Haoran delivering a game-high 16 points to propel the team to its third consecutive win.

Starting at the Tianhe Sports Center, Feng, hailing from Guangzhou's Nansha district, made an immediate impact by scoring the team’s first four points. He dominated both ends of the court throughout the game, recording three rebounds, one assist, and one crucial block that halted a Zhaoqing drive. His explosive performance in the third quarter, where he scored six points in under 90 seconds, effectively sealed the win.

The victory was witnessed by a spirited cheering squad from Nansha, which included young players from the district’s youth basketball academy. The fans held creative signs blending "Qilin", a local intangible cultural heritage, with basketball spirit, showcasing Nansha’s vibrant sports culture.
