Updated: 2026-04-10nansha.guangdong.chinadaily.com.cn

Pony.ai expanded its overseas robotaxi operations with a public commercial launch in Croatia and a passenger service debut in Singapore on April 7 and 8.

In Zagreb, the company said its service with Verne and Uber marked Europe's first commercial robotaxi operation. Open to the public through the Verne app, and later the Uber app, the service runs daily across about 90 square kilometers, including the airport. The rollout gives Pony.ai a live test bed in a new regulatory and road environment while extending its commercial footprint into Europe.

In Singapore, Pony.ai and ComfortDelGro jointly launched their robotaxi passenger service in the Punggol area. It runs on a 12-kilometer route linking residential areas with malls, a bus interchange and an MRT station, integrating robotaxis into first- and last-mile commuting.

The overseas push comes as commercialization gains pace. Pony.ai said its 2025 revenue rose 20 percent year-on-year to 629.4 million yuan ($90 million), while robotaxi revenue jumped 129 percent to 116.1 million yuan. The company aims to expand its fleet to more than 3,000 vehicles and deploy robotaxis in over 20 cities by the end of 2026.
