A leading Chinese Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) firm has established its Greater Bay Area headquarters in Guangzhou's Nansha district, with the project expected to generate an annual output of about 1 billion yuan($140 million), local authorities said.

The new entity, Yingchen Jiasheng, a subsidiary of a BIPV leader Gain Solar, will serve as a regional hub for operations, supply chain management and customer services. Located in Wanqingsha town, the project is set to join a growing cluster of green and low-carbon industries and help upgrade the local industrial structure.

Nansha officials said the investment strengthens the district's green industrial chain. It is expected to accelerate the application of BIPV technologies and advanced building materials, supporting the development of dual-billion-yuan industrial clusters focused on new energy and new materials.

The company plans to partner with universities and research institutes to introduce a digital, intelligent production line for green building materials, with a dedicated settlement center to ensure full value-chain operations.

Founded in 2007, Gain Solar has developed a complete R&D and innovation chain, with its BIPV products applied in landmark projects both at home and abroad, covering over 1.2 million square meters.

The move underscores Nansha's push to attract high-quality new energy projects and drive low-carbon transformation in the construction sector.
